Leila Amorim holds a B.S. in Statistics from the UFBA, Brazil. She received her Master’s Degree in Public Health also from UFBA, and received her DrPH from The University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill in 2006. Currently she is Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics at UFBA-Brazil. Her research interests are mainly in applied statistical methods in Public Health and Epidemiology and include survival analysis, structural equation modeling and analysis of correlated data.
