Introduction
Layal Merhy is an Associate Professor of translation studies, and coordinator of Masters' Program in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language at the Centre for Languages and Transaltion - Lebanese University. She holds a PhD in Sciences of Language (Linguistics and Didactics of foreign and native languages) from Grenoble University – France. She has published extensively in the field of translation and TAFL. She also participated as a speaker in many conferences in Europe and the Arab countries.
