Introduction
Lausanne Olvitt currently works at the Environmental Learning Research Centre, in the Education Department of Rhodes University, in South Africa. Her research interests are change-oriented learning towards a more sustainable future for people and planet; environmental values, ethics and learning, and environmental discourses. Lausanne teaches across a range of post-graduate courses specialising in Environmental Education, with additional courses in Educational Philosophy and Research Methodology. Lausanne is strongly influenced by the philosophy of critical realism, and her research is mostly framed by Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT). Her most recent publication is 'Education in the Anthropocene: Ethico-moral dimensions and critical realist openings'.
