Th...

Technological workshops in vocational schools are the subject of renewed interest in international research as hybrid environments combining characteristics of both academic and vocational settings. Due to their cost, these facilities are increasingly shared between different institutions that use them in a variety of ways, depending on their own objectives and constraints. The collaborative research proposed in this project will investigate the place of the pedagogical and didactic dimensions in the collaboration between the different types of actors using an "alpage-school" in a mountain pasture. It will be based on principles inspired by design-based research (Wang and Hannafin, 2005) and theories and methods from professional didactics, ergonomics and comparative didactics. The 3 years of the project will therefore consist of : 1/ A description of the hybrid environment, of the devices in which it is inserted and of the pedagogical modalities deployed (observations, collection of documents and tools produced, interviews including self-confrontations, etc.); 2/ Observation of the collective work of different groups of actors participating in the evolution and use of this environment (observation; interviews); 3/ Co-analysis of the observations made to feed the experimentation of evolutions : 1/ of the situations and devices of use and to study the effects in terms of learning potential for the learners; 2/ of the modalities of support of the different voluntary actors in the evolution of their professionalism (e.g.: for the assumption of pedagogical functions of the cheese maker and shepherd pair). This project is part of the "Lieux d'éducation associés" program supported by the French Institute of Education and the French Ministry of Agriculture. http://ife.ens-lyon.fr/lea
