This long-term and ongoing project aims to quantify the life cycle environmental and financial performance of apartment buildings in the Mediterranean in order to identify the most effective and affordable improvements. It uses case studies from Lebanon. The research uses primary data from a construction company to rely on the most reliable figures in terms of material quantities, floor plans, costs and others. The scope comprises embodied, operational and user-transport requirements. Life cycle assessment (LCA) and life cycle cost analysis (LCC) are conducted either at the whole building level, or on specific systems.
