Introduction
I work in three main areas: Ecosystem services and natural capital research (with an increasing focus on urban green and blue space); Coastal research (with a focus on sand dunes), and Impacts of air pollution (nitrogen and ozone). Recent work has included developing urban Natural Capital accounts for the UK, and modelling benefits of urban NBS at fine scale in cities in Europe and China. I am Visiting Professor in Geography and Environmental Science at Liverpool Hope University

  • I have over 24 years research experience in the fields of ecosystem services, land use change, coastal ecology and air pollution. My research increasingly focuses on urban green and blue space. I have authored/co-authored 90 papers and 15 book chapters, >100 reports, and have supervised 12 PhDs.
