Oleanolic, ursolic and 3β, 23-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acids, together with the new flavonoid, 3-acetoxy-7-methoxyflavone (1), were isolated from the 60% aqueous ethanolic extract of the leaves and flowers of Salvia elegans with anxiolytic activity.
