Introduction
I am a Senior Lecturer, researcher and an award-winning filmmaker at the University of Waikato, Aotearoa (New Zealand). My research focuses on Marxist analysis, global, low-budget production cultures and cinemas, class and gender representations, and creative practice. I have been published in numerous multi-disciplinary journals and edited collections including: South Central Review (John Hopkins), New Cinemas: Journal of Contemporary Film, and Directory of World Cinema: Scotland.
