Background: The phenomenon of global climate change has been observed worldwide. Scientists have determined that the Earth's average temperature has increased by 1°C since the late 19th century. This change is attributed to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions from anthropogenic activities. Aside from rising temperatures, climate change also ch...

The increasing incidence of global colorectal cancer (CRC) cases is overwhelming the CRC healthcare industry. Artificial intelligence (AI) comes to light at this juncture and offers hope for early detection, diagnosis and treatment. In turn, the CRC-associated mortality rate will be reduced in more efficient and cost-effective ways. Nonetheless, de...

Breast cancer is a significant global health challenge that affects both men and women, leading to cause-specific deaths. Current early screening interventions, such as digital mammography (DM), are susceptible to high false-positives and false-negatives. This paper explores the potential of convolutional neural network (CNN), a form of artificial...

The high demand for mental health services and scarce supply of healthcare professionals are increasingly suppressing the mental healthcare industry. The emergence of artificial intelligence shows the potential to be able to transform the landscape of this industry. The application of artificial intelligence has offered a promising hope to bridge t...

This pitching research letter (PRL) describes the application of the pitching research template introduced by Faff (2015, 2021) to a reverse-engineering process in the practice of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) as a form of defensive medicine with regard to the field of medical technology. The pitch structure underlines a succinct and streamline...

The pitch template introduced by Faff (2015; 2021) has become increasingly popular in academic research. Therefore, this paper aims to offer readers new ideas about a more time-efficient and easy-to-understand way of exploring a new research area and topic through a reverse engineering approach. The author believes that a reverse engineering pitch...

Introduction: The muscles connected to the anatomical snuff box are crucial for stabilising the wrist. De Quervian's Syndrome and tendinitis are conditions caused by morphological abnormalities in these muscles, which are often developing in nature. There is limited information available about the tendon types in the Nepalese population, despite st...

INTRODUCTION: The coronary arteries furnish the heart with its special arterial supply. The right coronary artery descends into the coronary sulcus after emerging from the right aortic sinus. The left coronary artery, which arises from the left aortic sinus, travels briefly via the coronary sulcus before splitting into two or three branches at the...

Global climate change has contributed to the intensity, frequency, and duration of heatwave events. The association between heatwaves and elderly mortality is highly researched in developed countries. In contrast, heatwave impact on hospital admissions has been insufficiently studied worldwide due to data availability and sensitivity. In our opinio...

The pitch template initiated by Faff (2015, 2021) is employed in this pitching research letter (PRL) for my PhD research topic. It not only facilitates a systematic approach for researchers to articulate a research idea critically but also aids new PhD students and novice researchers in overcoming the uncertainties in their early research stage. Th...

This pitch letter summarizes my personal reflections of employing the pitching research template created by Faff (2015, 2018) to my PhD research topic. It explains how the template guides the author to articulate and conceptualize a research idea critically, clearly, systematically and effectively. Specifically, this letter positively supports the...

Home ownership affordability has been a serious issue among the low and middle income households in Malaysia. Main contributors to this issue are low income, high cost of living and growth in income that does not commensurate the rise in property price. This research intends to identify the level of home ownership affordability among those who are...
