Introduction
I conduct simulation studies of electro-optical properties of nanodiamonds and phosphorene nanostructures using ab initio and multiscale modelling methods. In addition, I perform measurements in physical geodesy and am involved in geoid surface modelling. I am a project manager and grantee of research grants (ORCID 0000-0001-6027-7341).

Pre-treatment of diamond surface in low-temperature plasma for oxygenation and in acids for carboxylation was hypothesized to promote the branching density of the hyperbranched glycidol polymer. This was expected to increase the homogeneity of the branching level and suppress interactions with proteins. As a result, composite nanodiamonds with redu...
The article presents how the values of (3D) coordinates of land reference points affect the results of gravimetric measurements made from the ship in sea areas. These measurements are the basis for 3D maritime inertial navigation, improving ships' operational safety. The campaign verifying the network absolute point coordinates used as a reference...
A unified Chart Datum for the whole Baltic Sea is required for the use of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) in accurate 3-D bathymetric surveying and navigation, enabling for automated shipping with increased efficiency and improved maritime safety. So far, the zero levels of nautical maps were derived from the mean sea level (MSL) of diff...
2D black phosphorus (BP) has attracted extensive attention as an anisotropic platform for novel optoelectronic and polarizing optics applications. Insight into the factors that tune the optical and polarizing properties of 2D BP reveals their essential influence on BP-based photonic and optoelectronic devices. In this work, studies of the optical c...
Nanoribbons are crucial nanostructures due to their superior mechanical and electrical properties. This paper is
devoted to hybrid studies of the elastic mechanical anisotropy of phosphorene nanoribbons whose edges connect the terminals of
devices such as bridges. Fundamental mechanical properties, including Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and de...
The reliable interpretation of the measurements made by the Micro-g marine gravimetric system (MGS-6) depends on how the temporary changes of the scale coefficients such as gravimeter scale factor, vertical cross-coupling (VCC) effect, tiltmeter cross and tiltmeter long are compensated for during the signal analysis. The listed coefficients cannot...

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a hazardous contaminant of a large variety of plant and animal originated food. Herein, we report an interaction of OTA with calf thymus DNA (ct DNA) on the nanodiamond surface. We employed multispectroscopic techniques to elucidate the binding mechanism of OTA with ct DNA. The fluorescence and UV-Vis spectroscopy results show...
This article presents possible applications of a dynamic gravity meter (MGS-6, Micro-g LaCoste) for determining the dynamic height along the Odra River, in northwest Poland. The gravity measurement campaign described in this article was conducted on a small, hybrid-powered survey vessel (overall length: 9.5 m). We discuss a method for processing th...
The paper presents an investigation of phosphorene under axial strain on the phonon density of states and vibrational modes. The studies were performed by means of density functional theory (DFT) within the linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO). The strained models were constructed using optimised supercell techniques. The vibrational mode s...
Abstract In this paper, we present an attempt to determine the accuracy of shipborne gravimetry for the needs of geoid determination. The shipborne gravity campaign, described in this article, is the beginning of a series of gravimetry measurements in the Polish Exclusive Economy Zone. The campaign was conducted in the area where the accuracy of ge...
This paper presents the results of research conducted to develop an automated system capable of determining parameters for horizontal curves. The system presented in this article could calculate the actual course of a road by means of a two-stage positioning of recorded points along the road. In the first stage, measurements were taken with a Real-...
The article discusses the registration of micro-gravity changes with the MGS-6 Micro-g LaCoste gravity sensor during static measurements. An experiment was carried out to determine how small changes in gravity can be registered using the MGS-6 system sensor. The tides of the Earth’s crust were chosen as the source of disturbance of the field with s...
The phosphorene is a recently discovered 2D material. In addition to a direct bandgap, the phosphorene absorption of polarized light is different in the armchair and the zigzag direction. We present studies of the phosphorene flakes versus aging processes.
The Density functional theory is one of the most promising methodologies in fast and accurate calculations of electrical and optical properties from the atomic basis. In this paper, we calculate the electrical and optical properties of allylamine (2-propen 1-amine) in terms of accuracy and speed of calculations obtained by selection of the DFT-1/2...
Aerial photography of shallow water areas can provide useful quantitative information on water depth. The accuracy of bathymetric data read directly from aerial photographs is dependent on the environmental conditions and the use of an appropriate model. This paper proposes a method for determining water depth using measurements of the light intens...
The issue presented here focuses on concerns about the localization of the object on water surface. The article shows how to facilitate localization process by applying mathematical solutions characterized by simplicity, rapid action and delivering credible results. The paper shows the results of background experiments, which enabled to collect tec...
The paper will present techniques that can be used to obtain data on road alignment and profile including the roadside. In-the-field and simulation studies have helped to develop mathematical models that integrate vehicle position data. The experiments were conducted in a virtual environment using the software ArcGIS that reflects the actual roadsi...
This paper presents the results of the practical and simulation research into determining the routes of movement of small objects moving together with surface water masses in basins adjacent to the port. The results of this research were referenced against the modelling of routes of small objects in port channel basins. The results of practical res...
