This dissertation will attempt to provide such a contribution by analyzing how Buddhist textual traditions and Buddhist institutional practices contributed to the identity and meanings of Visualization Samadhi as aforementioned above.
In this dissertation, visualization of objects combined with Samadhi is conducted like a modern method; actually, they are all original Abhidhamma (Pāli) from the 3 rd century BCE. Moreover, the Buddhist works of literature contain detailed scholastic presentations of doctrinal emerging in the Buddhist suttas.
