Introduction
My research interests are in exploring the connection between L2 literacy development and systemic functional linguistics. More specifically, I have been researching (1) the school genre distribution in Japanese EFL textbooks for primary schools, lower-and upper-secondary schools, in order to develop L2 learners' literacy, and (2) the ideologies inherent in Japanese EFL textbooks, in order to develop L2 learners' critical reading skills.
