Introduction
As a PhD student in Sociology at University of Wroclaw, I am exploring occupational careers of migrants from Georgia and Azerbaijan in Poland in relation to meritocracy. I am interested to know how merit and non-merit factors contribute to migrants' career in Poland. To what extent capitals they possess while migrating result in return of rewards on labor market? How careers differ according to age, nationality, gender and duration of stay? These will be explored through biographical interviews.
