Kit M. Kovacs currently works at the Norwegian Polar Institute, where she is Research Section Leader for Biodiversity. Kit does research in Marine Biology, Evolutionary Biology and Ecology - focussed on marine top predators (seals, whales, penguins).
In this research project, we quantify a wide range of emerging and legacy toxic compounds in the blubber of blue and fin whales sampled from Svalbard. Furthermore, we will investigate endocrine disruptive effecs of contaminants using in vitro and correlative approaches.
