We are currently sampling a number of creeks in industrialised areas of Niger Delta East to measure the levels of heavy metals in the mentioned segments of those creek. Also carry out histopathological analysis of tissues and organs of some relevant biota to highlight some biomarkers and determine the health risks associated with the consumption of contaminated aquatic organisms using established standards.
