Introduction
I am passionate about molecular virology, genetic engineering, and biotechnology. My work focuses on exploring virus-host interactions and leveraging advanced genetic engineering tools to study viral mechanisms, develop antiviral strategies, and create innovative biotechnological solutions also in cancer. Through my research, I aim to contribute to the development of vaccines, gene therapies, and biotechnological advancements that address global health challenges."

Background: Primary liver cancer (PLC) is a highly lethal malignancy and the third most common cause of tumor-associated death annually. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accounts for 75-85% of all PLC cases. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) remains a major risk factor for HCC. HBV share important functions in the (EGFR) signaling pathway, with EpCAM potential...
Background:
Parvovirus B19 (B19) infection is linked with various diseases. Cytokines play critical roles in cellular response to viral infection. It has also been reported that's susceptibility of the ABO blood type people to several viral infection. In this study, we evaluated interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 8(IL-8), and interferon gamma (IFN-...
The ABO blood type has been reported to be associated with several diseases such as hepatitis and malaria. Recently, some studies have reported that people with O blood type are protected against COVID-19, while people with A blood type are more susceptible to contract this disease. Here, we analysed data from 5668 COVID-19 patients along with the...
The distribution of Staphylococcal Cassette Chromosomal mec (SCCmec) types I, II, III, IV and V was assessed in 137 methicillin-resistant S.aureus (MRSA) isolates obtained from patients from different hospitals in Baghdad city. Each types responsible for certain virulence factors. It was found that 38 (27.73%) isolates of MRSA out of 137 contained...
The present study included the collection of 100 samples from various clinical sources for investigating the presence of P. aeruginosa in those sources, the samples have been collected from some hospitals in Baghdad and Hillah city (Al-qassim General Hospital, ,Al-hillah teaching hospital, and Al-hashimya General hospital) which included wounds, bur...
The present study aimed to Detection of exoU,exoS genes Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates in Baghdad and Wasit,Iraq. 150 samples of P. aeruginosa were collected and identified by biochemical tests, to identify the isolates of P. aeruginosa at the genus and species levels by means of primers targeting oprI and oprL genes. and were characterized for an...
Background: Parvovirus B19 (B19 V) is a pathogenic for humans and the cause of erythema infectiosum, a common rash of childhood. B19 infection also causes severe disease such as chronic anemia in immunocompromised patients; aplastic crisis in the fetus can lead to cardiac failure, nonimmune hydrops, and fetal death in pregnant women. Objective: To...
