Introduction
Dr. Kevin L. Burke is a Sport Psychology professor and consultant in the Department of Health and Human Performance at Queens University of Charlotte. Dr. Burke is a recipient of the prestigious, Order of the Long Leaf Pine. Bestowed by the Governor of North Carolina, this honor is awarded to persons for exemplary service to the State of North Carolina and communities that is above and beyond the call of duty, and has made a significant impact and strengthened North Carolina.

Student-athletes and coaches may use humor to cope with competitive anxiety in sports (Bisht & Kerketta, 2014; Grisaffe et al., 2003). The purpose of this study was to compare the levels of sport competition anxiety and humor styles between 125 college student-athletes who participated in either individual or team sports.
