Introduction
Kate Comberti is a violinist and research practitioner using improvisation to work through musical play in a variety of settings from early years to people living with dementia and their carers. Currently researching at the Centre for research in early years and childhood, as part of her MA studies at the University of Birmingham past project included 'The role of play in early years string teaching with children aged 4 -7 years.' Currently she is researching children's improvisation and meaning making with a group of children aged between 3 and 5 years.
