Introduction
I am currently mainly interested in the temporal dynamics and mechanisms of pain-related learning and extinction in health and chronic back pain. I further investigate the detrimental effects of acute pain on memory encoding. Using experimentally-induced pain and different outcome measures (behavioral data, physiological data (SCR), task-related and rsfMRI), we aim to characterize the dynamics and neural circuitries underlying pain-related learning behavior or pain-cognition interaction.
