A study of the donor-recipient relationship in ODA identified Leverage as the most successful tool used by the Pacific Island Countries (PICs) to influence both Priority and Disbursement of aid. Question (1)
I am proposing new methods for delivering of intentional aid and looking for a team to develop the idea further. Gross National Generosity (GNG) aims to frame the development strategies of developing countries as "generosity" by re-articulating their moral "contributions" to balance the benefits brought through foreign aid. This is a continuation from my Ph.D Dissertation. I proposed six indices consisting of Contribution to Cultural Heritage (CCH), Contribution to Humanity and Livelihood (CHL), Contribution to Global Security (CGS), Contribution to United-Nation Votes (CUV), Contribution to Research and Sports (CRS) and Contributions to Peace and Prayers (CPP). I would like to team up with experts from related fields indicated through the indices, including Philosophers for Generosity in order to redefine/reconsider our priorities towards global prosperity geared through generosity. GNG suggests to shift from the ODA concept of "helping you to help yourself" to realizing the humanity of "helping you to help me" (help each other). Development will not be based on developing country's well-being only but more on well-giving by emphasizing the impact of own development for the goodness of others.
