Introduction
I have worked for more than 25 years in the Finnish mining industry and operating mines and has held 10 different positions there. From 2021 on wards, I decided to leave industrial work and moved to the academic side to prepare his doctoral dissertation as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu in Finland on topics like digitization in mining, data management, information modelling, mine automation and system dynamic modelling, while working there also as Research Director.

Do you have any information or suggestions about companies or communities that would be interested in developing the BIM concept in the mining sector? There are obviously few who know and understand the subject, but there are certainly some. Could you kindly provide ideas and tips here?
The use of BIM is very widespread in the AEC industry. But in the mining industry it is not yet known. In your opinion, what are the most suitable use cases for BIM in mining?
