Introduction
I am currently working at the Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University. My research purpose is to reveal how animal lectins, especially galectins that recognize beta-galactoside, and glycoconjugates are involved in the regulation of physiological and pathological events. I focus on the function of galectins and their ligand glycoconjugates in the ovary (corpus luteum) and other female reproductive organs. I am also interested in the endocrine as well as nervous systems.
