Introduction
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial Ecology at NTNU. I have a bachelor's in Energy Engineering and a master's in Civil Engineering, both earned in Brazil. Between my graduation and my PhD, I worked in the industry with sustainable investment analysis (solar power plants), revenue management (construction material factory), and pricing (passenger transport). I am passionate about sustainable behaviour, consumption patterns, household sustainability, sustainable energy and civil engineering.

Urbanisation influences resource use through increasing affluence and dense infrastructure, enabling different lifestyles. Previous literature has highlighted the benefits of material efficiency that cities can provide. However, there is little research on household material footprints (MFs) in this context. MFs cover all material requirements thro...

Water consumption in social housing is related to social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Hot, cold, and total daily water consumption of 220 residential units in two social housing complexes in Southern Brazil were investigated to examine how they relate to construction features, user behavior, weather, and socioeconomic factors. The u...

Individual water metering allows consumers to pay for the water volume actually consumed, promoting the efficient use of water resources. This case study aims to evaluate the impact of consumption billing based on individual water meters in a social housing complex in the city of Joinville, southern Brazil. The residential complex under study consi...

Studying the resource consumption of a social housing community is very important due to the large-scale aspect of such programs and interventions. Despite the importance of domestic hot water consumption in social housing communities, it has never been specifically reviewed. This paper presents a comprehensive literature review on that topic to se...

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way resources are consumed around the world. The relationship between the pandemic and water consumption has important implications for the management of water use and must be evaluated in depth. The main goal of this research paper is to establish a comparison between pre-pandemic and pandemic water consumptio...

Solar water-heating systems have been widely implemented in Brazilian social housing buildings. Although these systems have been extensively explored regarding energy consumption, little is known about the water consumption. This article analyzes hot water consumption data from 154 social housing apartments in Southern Brazil. Hourly and daily cons...

As the global population grows, so grows the water demand, since it is essential for human existence. That is why the main environmental certifications in civil construction comprise a category exclusively for preservation and conservation of water. Even though certifications are becoming well-known, it is the law that determines how cities develop...

The synthesis of boron nitride (BN) - graphene hybrid materials is now a reality that has opened opportunities for creation of new nanostructures with enhanced mechanical, electronic and thermal properties, of particular interest for nanoelectronics applications. Properties of these materials are still not well understood, and modelling approaches...
