Introduction
I am interested in esports from a cultural studies angle. Esports is a huge part of our culture today and it touches many cultural fields such as sports, literature, film, theatre, dance, television and many more. In my PhD thesis I have proven that video games are most likely to be financially successful, when they have been designed as cultural carriers.
