Introduction
I am a Community Psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology in the College of Professional Studies and Advancement at National Louis University. My collaborative community research and evaluation work utilizes mixed methods in partnership with nonprofits, and government agencies (e.g., public school systems, health departments, human service agencies, and community development organizations). This has led me to a range of research topics including: neighborhood revitalization, urban education for students with disabilities, substance abuse aftercare, affordable housing, access to healthcare, access to healthy food, violence prevention and intervention programs for youth, leadership development and advocacy for policy change, and fatherhood.
