Introduction
My current research is on "States of Exception" in Hieronymus Bosch, Max Beckmann, and William Kentridge, with detours through Reformation art and iconoclasm, Aby Warburg, and Nazi art policy. I also am publishing and teaching on Albrecht Dürer, Dutch landscape drawings, and Romanticism.
