Introduction
Professor of Human Geography at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She has devoted most of research to the study of migrations from the perspective of Human Geography. She has collaborated and conducted different research projects funded by Spanish public institutions and has participated in two Expert Committees in the subject of immigration to the Canary Islands. Since 2012 is the Chairperson of the International Geographical Union Commission on Global Change and Human Mobility.
