Introduction
J. Cadima Ribeiro is full professor (retired) of Economics, School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. He got his under-graduation degree in Economics at the Technical University of Lisbon (1980) and his PhD in Economics at the University of Minho (1989). He is author or co-author of papers dealing with regional economics, regional and local development, tourism economics, heritage tourism. He has also been involved in a few territorial planning projects.
