Introduction
John Turnbull is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at San Antonio and does qualitative research in second-language acquisition. Previously, he had done research and journalistic writing on world football (soccer) and, with the University of Nebraska Press, published the literary anthology The Global Game: Writers on Soccer (2008).
