Evidence for two massive, air-burst, thermonuclear explosions on Mars in the past is presented, as well as the apparent correlation of the explosion locations with sites of apparent archeology. The explosions were apparently large enough to permanently change Mars climate from being Earth-like in the past, to its present barren state. This suggests...

In this article, we argue that gravity can be fundamentally tied to entropy as a spectrum of states, and that this co-dependence of gravity and an entropic state-space in the Standard Model universe (post Planck scale) makes it necessary that it be founded on a sub-Planckian set of states, or frequency spectrum, thus instantiating a sub-quantum pre...

The GEMS SU(5) [1] theory includes short range Nuclear Forces in the GEM unification theory [2], where the importance of the square root of the proton-electron mass ratio: σ = 42.8503 was found. The creation of mass by a Higgs field coupling must, by the Equivalence Principle, be viewed in the context of General Relativity. This is done here using...

The GEM theory (1) links the EM stress tensor directly to the metric tensor by the principle of ``self censorship'' of the ZPF (2) where the definition of guv = FuwF^wv/ 4 for Planck scale fields makes the stress tensor vanish even when fields are present. The first order form of the metric is recovered as Lorentzian due to alternating regions of s...

The GEM (Gravity Electro-Magnetism), theory is presented as an alloy of Sakharov and Kaluza-Klein approaches to field unification. GEM uses the concept of gravity fields as Poynting fields to postulate that the non-metric portion of the EM stress tensor becomes the metric tensor in strong fields leading to "self-censorship". Covariant formulation o...

For over a decade, the Pioneer Anomaly (PA) was an object of study and remains unresolved. Basically it is a sunward constant acceleration of the spacecraft that appeared unambiguously after the satellites passage beyond Saturn. It now appears possible the PA acceleration is the appearance of second, string-like, solution to the Einstein Equations...

This paper reports experimental and theoretical progress on the GEM unification theory. In theoretical progress, the derivation of the GEM theory using it in a fully covariant form is achieved based on the principle of self-cancellation of the ZPF EM stress-momentum tensor. This derivation reveals that the final Gravity-EM system obeys a Helmholtz-...

John Brandenburg discusses how using the fabric of space-time for propulsion is a bold vision for industry. Einstein's work is particularly inspiring, for it empowered humanity not only to go where it had never gone before in the cosmos, but also to understand its dynamics. His discovery of mass-energy equivalence from Special Relativity led to the...

Sakharov ootnotetextSakharov A.D. JETP 5,24, (1967) proposed that in the early split-seconds of the Big Bang lepton and baryon number and CPT invariance were not conserved, resulting in the cosmos we know: dominated by hydrogen: protons and electrons, as opposed to their antiparticles. Accordingly, it is the premise of the GEM theory that out of Pl...

The GEM is based on the postulate of gravity fields as arrays of ExB drifts or Poynting fields, and the postulate that both EM and gravity fields separated from each other with the formation of a 5th dimension coincidentally with the separation of protons and electrons. The Maxwell—Einstein equations coupled via a hydrogen plasma are recovered. A q...

Lagrangian methods cannot include non-conservative forces and therefore cannot produce a simple derivation of the ubiquitous and very useful damped harmonic oscillator equation. Recently, it has been found that the damping term can be included in a Lagrangian approach by employing a Kaluza-Klein hidden dimension (Klein 1926). In this application of...

The hypothesis that the `anti-bubble' (1) in water owes its existence to Casimir forces is proposed, based on a model of Quantum ZPF (Zero Point Fluctuation) interaction with matter. The Casimir effect can be explained by imbalanced radiation pressure from the ZPF and is linked to Gravity. This concept is extended to the phenomena of anti-bubble an...

The GEM(Gravity E&M) theory (Brandenburg 2007) allows the derivation of the Newton Gravitation Constant from first principles, with the two postulates of the GEM theory: 1. that gravity and EM forces, and electrons and protons are unified at the Planck length and split apart with the appearance of a hidden 5^th dimension. 2. That Gravity fields are...

The GEM theory (Brandenburg, 2007) can be described in both its relativistically covariant and Newtonian forms. The GEM theory is an alloy of the Sakharov (1968), model of gravity as due to the quantum ZPF (Zero Point Fluctuation) and the Kaluza-Klein theory (Klein, 1926) 5th dimensional approach. The GEM is based on the postulate of gravity fields...

I have, unexpectedly, found that my GEMS ( GEM Super) Unification theory predicts the pi-meson masses ( Strong Force quanta ) as well as the W and Z (Weak Force quanta ) boson masses , this means the theory ( in a rudimentary Bohr hydrogen atom sort of way ) now unifies all four forces of nature. All this because of pursuing the modest goal of making electromagnetic antigravity so i could go to Mars! So my project right now is to illuminate the mathematical correspondence between GEMS and Electro-Weak Unification in the Standard Model. I have found lots of it. I will be publishing in variety of journals. John brandenburg
