Several studies used the stimulus equivalence paradigm to investigate attitudes toward socially relevant stimuli. In one of these studies, de Carvalho and de Rose (2014) used matching-to-sample (MTS) training to establish equivalence relations between a positive symbol and faces of individuals of African descent (toward which children showed negati...

Evaluative generalization refers to the fact that when evaluative responses towards a (focal) stimulus are established or changed, people change how they respond to non-focal stimuli as well. Whereas evaluative generalization between perceptually similar stimuli has been firmly established, the available evidence for symbolic evaluative generalizat...

The stimulus equivalence paradigm presented operational criteria to identify symbolic functions in observable behaviors. When humans match dissimilar stimuli (e.g., words to pictures), equivalence relations between those stimuli are likely to be demonstrated through behavioral tests derived from the logical properties of reflexivity, symmetry, and...

Relational frame theory (RFT) has historically been considered the basic explanatory science behind acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). However, some have argued that there has been an increasing separation between the two in recent years. The primary aim of the current article is to explore the extent to which RFT concepts, particularly those...

Gender stereotypes affect both women and men since childhood. While men may be more often associated with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers, women tend to be associated with nurturing and caring careers. The present research used an explicit scale and an IRAP to investigate how gender-career relational patterns could vary fo...

O objetiv...

Latin America has increased its share of world scientific publications by nearly twofold during the last two decades (approximately from 2 to 4%). Despite this positive trend, the scholarly impact of scientific research produced in the region - measured in terms of citation rate - remains low. Two interrelated factors that contribute to this situat...

The reorganization of equivalence classes is observed when the base line contingencies are changed, so that the relations between stimuli are rearranged to form new classes. Several features of the procedure can affect the reorganization of equivalence classes and it has been suggested that the number of comparison stimuli is one of those variables...

Hello, I have acces to an Eyetech VT2, an eye tracker from Eye Tech Digital Systems. I would like to know if how much precise it is, because until the moment I only could make it divide the screen in 16 sqares and  report events on these squares. I would like also to know if this equipment could build an heat map, with the spots more frequently watched.
Thank you very much,
Best,
