Introduction
The research group’s future interest is now focused on 1) investigating the potential clinical applications of the determination of plasma TMAO, as a biomarker of potential interest in type 2 diabetes and familial hypercholesterolemia and 2) investigating the molecular bases of the association between adiposity, chronic inflammation, cholesterol metabolism deregulation and the development and aggressiveness of human thyroid carcinoma.
