https://n5geh.com/ Germany: The scientists from the fields of telecommunication, mechanical and electrical engineering of TU Dresden and RWTH Aachen decided on 1 May 2018 to join their forces and expertise. They will work together with selected industry partners for the next two years to apply 5G standard in the energy sector, especially in the field of energy supply to buildings. In the first phase of the research project, software and hardware will be developed that enable the wireless communication from energetic applications to higher-level system components. This will enable public institutions and companies to offer new products and services in the energy sector directly after the planned introduction of the 5G standard in 2020.
