The author describes finding of the Scarabaeid beetle Valgus hemipterus (L.) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) on the inflorescence od Orchis purpurea. The pollinium was observed on the head of the beetle mentioned above. It means that Valgus hemipterus is a pollinator of this orchid.
