Introduction
I am now a lecturer with the Department of Public Security, Fujian Police Colllege, Fuzhou, China. I received My Ph.D. degree from the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University in June 2024. I was an visiting Ph.D. student with the University of Wollongong. My current research interest focuses on enhancing the resilience of rail transit systems under various disruptions.

Unlike most urban rail transit (URT) resilience studies on URT lines or networks under major disturbances, this paper focuses on the resilience assessment of URT stations under high‐frequency daily disturbances with minor impacts. A resilience assessment metric with different resilience levels is proposed, which is calculated based on multiple crit...
Article
Assessment of the resilience of an urban rail transit (URT) network under natural disasters is of practical importance, especially with the intensification of global warming. This study develops a train schedule-based resilience assessment model to assess the resilience of a URT network under natural disasters, addressing a critical gap in existing...
Article
Disruptions occurring at an urban rail transit (URT) system can severely affect its normal operations, and an effective bus bridging service (BBS) is able to help to reduce the negative effects. Transit operators usually arrange BBS to depart from the disrupted stations to evacuate the stranded passengers. However, the overload of passengers at the...

Adding new links to an existing urban rail transit (URT) network helps improve its operations by shortening passenger travel time under normal operations and disruptions. However, only a few studies have considered the impact of uncertain disruption occurrence stations on URT network design. This paper addresses this gap by proposing and solving a...
Article

The resilience of an urban rail transit (URT) network when faced with disruptions is affected by the locations of stations equipped with turn-back (TB) tracks. However, limited studies have enhanced the resilience of a URT network by setting new TB tracks. The present work addresses this gap by proposing and solving a scenario model for improving t...

In daily operation, urban rail transit (URT) systems often experience disturbances that result in a partial reduction in transport capacity (partial disturbances, PDs) rather than disturbances leading to a complete reduction in transport capacity. However, research that assesses the resilience of URT networks under PDs remains limited. This paper a...

With the increasing severity of global warming, rainstorms are occurring more frequently and severely affect the normal operation of transportation systems. Therefore, the ability of a highway-railway complementary (HRC) network to cope with rainstorms is examined. A resilience assessment model was used considering the rainfall intensity and its sp...
Article
Operational disturbances within 30 min, namely, short-term operational disturbances (STODs), occur frequently during the daily operation of an urban rail transit (URT) system. Therefore, there is an urgent need to assess a network’s ability to respond to STODs to improve its operational level. The resilience of a URT network jointly considering tur...
Article
Existing studies seldom consider network structure and passenger travel demand jointly, and certain impractical assumptions are generally considered for assessing the resilience of an urban rail transit (URT) network. To address the abovementioned limitations, we have proposed a performance indicator called the demand-impedance (DI) indicator, in w...
Article
An urban rail transit (URT) system is an important component of an urban infrastructure system; however, it is vulnerable to disturbances, such as natural disasters and terrorist attacks. Constructing a highly resilient URT network has practical significance for enhancing its capability to respond to disturbances. In this paper, models are develope...
Article
In order to reduce the influence of the link’s failure on the operation of Urban Rail Transit (URT) network, the damage of URT link caused by natural disasters and terrorist attacks are simulated by random and intentional attack in this paper. The URT link’s repair strategy model is established with the objective of maximizing passenger volume at e...

Time reliability in a Rail Transit Network (RTN) is usually measured according to clock-based trip time, while the travel conditions such as travel comfort and convenience cannot be reflected by clock-based trip time. Here, the crowding level of trains, seat availability, and transfer times are considered to compute passengers’ Perceived Trip Time...
Conference Paper
As an important component of the urban infrastructure system, urban rail transit (URT) is extremely vulnerable to emergencies (such as natural disasters and terrorist attacks). Therefore, it is of great significance to build a high resilient URT network. The resilience enhancement models for normal operating and damaged URT network are discussed he...

In order to improve the ability of urban rail transit (URT) systems to respond to emergencies, the effective repair strategies for URT stations under natural disasters and human attack are discussed. Firstly, the station failure caused by natural disasters and human attack are simulated by random attack and intentional attack, respectively. Secondly...

Urban Rail Transit (URT) is an important part of urban public transport. It is of great significance to research the accessibility of URT stations. The accessibility and accessibility reliability of URT stations are measured here. Firstly, passengers’ travel paths are determined based on Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) data. Then, the indicator whi...
Conference Paper
High-speed railway (HSR) is an important carrier of China railway passenger transportation. It is of great significance to improve the performance of HSR network. This paper studies the optimization of HSR network with the goal of optimal global accessibility. Based on the degree of stations, clustering coefficient of stations, and other indicators...

Under the background of urbanization and the rapid development of urban rail transit (URT), serious attention has been focused on URT network reliability in recent years. In this work, in order to measure network reliability, three indicators are constructed based on passengers’ tolerable travel paths, passenger travel efficiency and passenger trav...
