Introduction
I lecture on and research applied linguistics at Swansea University, focusing on second language learning. My experiences as a language teacher (2000-2013; mainly in S Korea) inspired my doctoral research, which was completed at the University of Oxford. My research focus is on second language writing and learning processes, particularly of learners in instructed language learning settings.
