L’enjeu global de ce projet vise à acquérir une compétence fine sur la thématique de l’inertie et du stockage d’énergie, et plus particulièrement des services à destination : - Des industriels pour la conception de produits innovants en termes de pré-conditionnement d’air et de gestion des réseaux de chaleur. - Des constructeurs et industriels de la construction pour l’aide à la conception de systèmes performants utilisant des matériaux intelligent pour la gestion de l’inertie et du confort thermique. - Des Maîtres d’œuvre pour la conception de bâtiment performant et confortable, et pour la gestion optimale de chaufferie collective après réhabilitation lourde. On peut y ajouter des enjeux scientifiques visant à mieux connaître les phénomènes mis en jeu lors des changements de phase ainsi que les matériaux pouvant répondre aux besoins. De ce projet, découlent dés maintenant les 1ères solutions techniques avancées d’échangeur MCP pour le bâtiment. Les projets Solar Decathlon 2010 et 2012 intègrent ces solutions et constituent un terrain d’expérimentation à l’échelle 1 ainsi qu’une bonne mise en visibilité des résultats de nos recherches sur ce thème
