Introduction
Since 1994 I have been working clinically exclusively with patients suffering from functional disorders of the masticatory system: orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, bruxism, occlusal problems. I have been a supporter of evidence-based dentistry from the very beginning - i.e. since 1997 - and apply these principles to my patients. In the meantime, I have had more than 13,000 patient contacts. I have learned that textbooks and articles alone are not enough to become a good clinician.
