My research interests lie in how people learn complex clinical psychomotor skills, with an aim to understand the cognitive processes that may facilitate this. I study this within the context of simulation-based medical education, where I am interested in how simulation environments and training can be designed to augment learning and transfer. My current work explores the instructional design of videos and Web-based collaborative learning, and their effect on skill acquisition.
