Introduction
Starting a PhD at EDESTA with Alain Bonardi (IRCAM, Paris VIII University) and Mikhaïl Malt (IRCAM). As a researcher and an artist, I am interested in musical applications of artificial intelligence. I just completed a master in electroacoustic music at Paris VIII University. Professors included Alain Bonardi, José Manuel L. Lopez and Anne Sédès. My Masters thesis topic was the realization of an hybrid instrument with a large Chinese tam. It has yielded a composition and an interactive installation. The latter was exposed at Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Paris-Nord in sept. 2017: the hybrid tam was gifted with a memory of his interactions with his environment, behaved like an autonomous agent and followed his own agenda.

However, only a few models currently deal with therecognition of advanced Instrument Playing Techniques(IPT). None of them have a real-time approach of this problem. Furthermore, most studies rely on a single sound bank for training a...

Since the second half of the XXth century, the contemporary music stage is challenging musician-composers with the need for ever changing new sonorities. Instead of developing new instruments, they have started using electronics as a way to expand the range of timbres of traditional instruments ; this alternative trend enabled them to capitalize on...

Inspired by biology, L-systems are an original tool to help composers build innovative musical forms, especially in the field of generative computer music. Only mildly normative, they help foster creativity by shaping musical pieces using organic growth, an approach which happens to be compatible with the tradition of continuous development as well...
