For the arrangement processing of image using its histogram, we previously have presented a Histogram Matching method based on Gaussian Distribution (HMGD). However, in the case where the brightness histogram of input image has multiple peaks, the HMGD processing does not always bring good results. In this paper, we present an improved histogram ma...

Some benefits of mindfulness include reducing stress, improving concentration, and improving physical and psychological health. Virtual reality creates a relaxing and meditation-friendly environment away from everyday life. However, most applications consider only the visual and auditory aspects, which is insufficient in fully mimicking the physica...

Generative art is produced by procedural techniques. It has obtained a lot of attention since the beginning of computer graphics. Many works of art are inspired by nature, among which phyllotaxis is as well. It is a combination of mathematics and the beauty of nature. Not only can it be seen everywhere in nature, but also often appear in man-made o...

Many interaction techniques have been introduced for controlling virtual reality contents and navigation. Traditional controllers need to map between two-dimensional inputs and three-dimensional actions while interactive surfaces enable more natural approaches, they still lack tactile feedback. We present real-virtual bend and twist, a tactile feed...

In modern art, new types of installations and artworks use sensor-based inputs as an interactive method to create new forms of media art. Most of those installation artworks have static and pre-captured contents; they tend to be played as dynamic, and by some concerned as interactive creations. However, most installations are not able to capture th...

The directional-dependent effects of the materials are responsible for our perception of certain materials being realistic or not. Some materials consist of colour pigments, and these cause directional-dependent colour variations (or colour-shifts). For instance, we can observe a colour-shift effect of metallic materials, which means the changing o...
