Project goal: To interrogate, analyze and compare conceptual framework of 'social death' concept across over 80 academic writings.
Conclusion: social death (in this sample) may be regarded as opposite of well-being. It is possible to constructed unifying overarching conceptual framework across all of these studies. Furthermore, social death is fueled by interactional processes positioned between oppression and resistance. Conceptual extensions of social death include: survival, social exclusion and well-being.
