Introduction
Jan Christoph Minx, PhD, is head of the MCC working group Applied Sustainability Science and Professor of Climate Change and Public Policy at the Priestley International Centre for Climate at the University of Leeds. He takes an interdisciplinary research approach to issues of energy, climate change and sustainable development with applications to cities and infrastructure, as well as transformation processes of societies and their governance. A particular concern is an understanding of processes at the science-policy interface and the development of meta-analytical methods for adequately informing decision making processes. Recent research focusses on how big data methods can be applied for research synthesis and to understand the political economy of climate policy options.
