Abstract This investigation reports the electrochemical preparation of a polypyrrole/triiron tetraoxide (PPY/Fe3O4) nanocomposite from deep eutectic solvents (DESs), and their application as novel sensor electrodes to determine certain pharmaceutical formulations using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The modified polypyrrole/Fe3O4 nanocomposite was charac...

Aluminum currently sees extensive use in a wide range of applications that include cars, the aviation industry, consumer appliances, container vessels, and electronics. Aluminum electroplating is typically carried out using conventional ionic liquids, but these are typically toxic, costly, and relatively sensitive to air. This research will investi...

Polypyrrole (Ppy)-modified graphene oxide (GO) electrodes were synthesized for the first time in a choline chloride−phenol-based deep eutectic solvent at various temperatures via electrochemical methods without the addition of any inorganic or organic catalysts. The surface morphologies and structures of the modified films were assessed via scannin...

Aqueous carboxylic acids (CA) are generally used as attractive catalytic extractants in the field of desulfurization of petroleum products. In the present study, a triple system consisting of CA-ferric chloride-hydrogen peroxide has been used for the removal of aromatic S-compounds from partially hydrotreated diesel by liquid−liquid oxidative-extra...

In this work, a novel production of "deep eutectic solvents (DESs)" has been utilised for the elimination of sulfur composition, particularly from crude oil by liquid-liquid extraction. Herein, we present the first demonstration of the use of novel DESs formed by phenol, catechol, resorcinol and o-cresol as "hydrogen bond donors (HBDs)" with trimet...

We report herein the electrochemical polymerisation of aniline from a choline chloride (ChCl)-based deep eutectic solvent (DES) at room temperature in both the presence and absence of deionised water in the solvent. The current study used Propeline as the DES electrolyte, which we found to be rich in protons (i.e. similar to protic ionic liquids) a...

Ionic liquids (ILs) and deep eutectic solvents have been used for the extraction of molecules, particularly natural products. An often studied system is that for thiophene removal from oil. In the current study, ILs have been used for the removal of thiophene (Th), benzothiophene (BT) and dibenzothiophene (DBT) by liquid-liquid extraction. The equi...

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been used for the purification of oils and the extraction of active ingredients from natural products but little is known about the mechanism of the extraction process. In this study a variety of molecular solutes are dissolved in alkanes and the thermodynamics of transfer into six DESs have been quantified. It is...

Question
Dear all,
Who has an information about detecting nitrogen compounds quantitatively in any liquid solution? For example, sulfur X-Ray florescence can be used to measure the total amount of sulfur in a liquids.
Many thanks
Question
Dear all, can someone let me know how can calibrate XRF for quantitative analysis of nitrogen species in a sample liquid please? if we need a standard nitrogen compounds, then how can be preparing for that purpose?
