Introduction
I have a MSc in Ecology (1980) from Austral University of Chile and a PhD in Biological Sciences (1988) from University of Sevilla, Spain. I have been a visiting professor/researcher at European and Latinoamerican universities/research centres. At present, I am an animal population ecology full professor at the MSc and PhD programs in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources at Universidad de Los Lagos, southern Chile.
