Hello,
To my experience pre-miRNA is much less more abundant in the cell compared to mature form of corresponding miRNA.
Can it be caused by difference in turnover rate of pre-miRNA and miRNA? Or can there be also other reasons? Are there some experimental studies focused particularly at this aspect of miRNA biogenesis?
