Introduction. The modern differentiation of the Erzya dialects in the Volga region and the Southern Urals is the result of a long historical development. The migration of the Mordovians from their former places of residence contributed to their formation. The fact that in these regions the Erzya lived isolated from the rest of the Mordovians and co...
Article
Introduction: in the Erzya language, the verbs forming the system of subject and object conjugation take a special place among the total number of verb forms. Object conjugation forms consist of the verbal stem and morphological markers indicating a person of the object of the action, tense and a person of the subject of the action. In the Erzya di...

The fact that the Erzyans in the Novaja Malykla district of UlÍjanovsk Oblast have lived in isolation from the majority of the Erzya people has helped them to retain many archaic parent-language phenomena as well as develop some innovations in the lexical, phonetic and grammatical systems of the dialects. The article provides a detailed description...

The extensive use of neodymium phosphate glasses as the active elements of solid-state lasers has made it necessary to investigate their radiation-optical properties. It is known that ionizing radiation causes the appearance of phosphate glasses of additional absorption bands in the ultraviolet and visible regions of the spectrum. The aim of the pr...
Article
Under the action of an electron pulse, short-term color centers arise which produce absorption bands in the 200-220 nm region in the spectra of exceptionally pure vitreous silica and synthetic quartz. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of preliminary steady-state radiation on the spectrum of short-term absorption in exceptio...
Article
Affect of temperature on radiation-optical properties of phosphate glasses was studied following γ-irradiation and also at the moment of electron pulse action. Dose rate of γ-irradiation was 3 Gy/s. Electron energy was 5 MeV, pulse duration was 2.3×10-6 s. Optical absorption enhanced in 200-800 nm spectral range at room temperature following γ-irra...

The dependence of the changes in the optical spectra of potassium dihydrophosphate, cesium dihydroarsenate, and their deuterated analogs and lithium iodate on the ..gamma.. irradiation temperature was studied. It was shown that these changes are determined by the thermal stability of radiation-induced defects, formed under the action of the ..gamma...
Article
An analysis is made of the possibility of reducing short-lived losses in a gadolinium scandium gallium garnet crystal activated with Cr and Nd when these losses are due to the short-wavelength component of the spectrum of the exciting radiation.
Article
The optical properties of quartz glass with cerium additives with pulsed electron radiation and steady-state ..gamma..-radiation at different temperatures were comparatively investigated. Irradiation with electron pulses was conducted on a U-12 linear accelerator. The samples were irradiated with /sup 60/Co ..gamma..-rays in a special Dewar flask i...
Article
This paper studies the effect of gamma-irradiation and impulsive irradiation with electrons on the optical properties of crystals used in nonlinear optics: potassium dihydrophosphate KH/sub 2/PO/sub 4/, and cesium dihydroarsenate CsH/sub 2/AsO/sub 4/. The authors used two types of crystals obtained by extraction of the condensate, lowering of the t...
Article
The purpose of this work is to determine the nature and mechanism of the effect of continuous gamma irradiation of kersil reflectors on the energy characteristics of a YAG:Nd/sup 3 +/ laser operating in the free lasing mode at a wavelength of 1.06 mum. The active element consisted of a YAG:Nd/sup 3 +/ crystal 5 mm in diameter and 50 mm long. Pumpin...
Article
This paper investigates the influence that filtering of the ultraviolet part of the pumping radiation has upon the energy characteristics of neodymium phosphate glasses irradiated with gamma rays. The laser energy is illustrated in relative units for a nonirradiated active element of Li-Nd-La phosphate glass and for a reflector made from various ty...
Article
The effect of filtration of the ultraviolet part of pumping radiation on energy characteristics of the gamma-quantum irradiated Li-Nd-La-phosphate glass is investigated. It is shown that the efficiency of the irradiated and nonradiated phosphate glass can be increased when making use of the glass with the cerium oxide-base reflectors.
Article
Experimental investigations were made of the influence of induced absorption in the material of a quartz reflector on the efficiency of a solid-state laser. It was found that the experimental values agreed with the estimates of the relative change in the laser efficiency calculated on a computer using the Monte Carlo method.
Article
An investigation was made of the influence of the base material of a monolithic reflecting enclosure on the efficiency of a YAG:Nd3+ laser. It was found that the energy characteristics of this laser could be improved considerably by employing reflecting enclosures made of quartz glass doped with cerium oxide.
Article
The transient absorption in fused and crystalline quartz subjected to pulse electron irradiation have been investigated at wavelengths from 260 to 900 nm in the temperature range 77–673 K. Absorption bands were observed at 330 nm and about 550 nm in fused quartz and at 350 nm in crystalline natural quartz. Bleaching of colour centres after electron...
