Introduction
Associate professor at the University of Concepción, Chile. Director MSc. Program in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation. My research interests involve two complementary areas. (1) The role of the perceived exertion during exercise and its application at cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation. (2) The impairment of cardiovascular reflexes in healthy and chronically diseased patients, with an emphasis on autonomic function, heart rate variability and cardiac baroreflex sensitivity.
