Introduction
I have a great interest in Ocean Mapping, Hydrography, Sonars, Marine Geodesy, Hydrology and Sedimentology according to contour currents and contourites, Marine Geology and Geophysics. My research includes acquisition, processing and analysis of the data obtained by modern sonar systems (SBES, MBES, SSS, Seismics a little). Beside this, I have an aspiration to water column data processing and analyzing (detection algorithms), raw MBES data formats parsing and seafloor characterization.

Brief results of expedition investigations of the southeastern part of the Baltic Sea and the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland during the 53rd cruise of the R/V Akademik Boris Petrov (2023) are presented. The expedition was dedicated to continuation of longstanding oceanological researches conducted by the AB IO RAS. An integrated geological, ge...

Strong acceleration of abyssal flows in narrow deep‐water channels and fracture zones is a key feature of bottom circulation in the Atlantic Ocean. In the Equatorial Atlantic, these bottom currents transport Antarctic Bottom Water (AABW) over the Mid‐Atlantic Ridge from west to east. The main pathway for Antarctic waters in this region is the Roman...

A Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis in n-dimensions was used to describe a potential temperature distribution in the bottom layer of the fracture zones of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 7–8°N. This analysis was based on a new digital terrain model obtained by supplementing the STRM15+ bathymetry data with multibeam echo sounding data from the 33rd...

During cruise 43 of the R/V Akademik Nikolaj Strakhov (September 21–October 9, 2019), new data were obtained on the bottom relief, sedimentation, and hydrological regime of the Discovery Gap (eastern North Atlantic). It was shown that the upper limit of the Antarctic Bottom Water in the study area follows the 2.05°C isotherm and 34.91 PSU isohaline...

The article scrutinizes stratigraphy, morphology, and origin of the terraced underwater slope of the Sambian Peninsula next to the Taran Cape, the SE Baltic Sea, using a combination of multi-beam and single-beam bathymetry, side-scan sonar survey, CHIRP, single-channel seismoacoustic data, and sediment grain-size results. The underwater slope and i...

Water exchange between the deep basins of the Baltic Sea during stagnation periods ventilates the bottom layer. Such exchange may be local and associated with the seabed topography features. The aim of this study is to investigate the possible pathway of water exchange within the Gdańsk-Gotland Sill. A comprehensive study was conducted near the one...

We present a multibeam bathymetry dataset from eastern part of the Canary Basin and from the Kane Gap located north and south of the Cape Verde Islands, respectively. Special attention was paid to the deep-water Kane Gap between Sierra Leone Rise and Guinea Plateau. The Kane Gap is the only possible gateway that allows the exchange of Antarctic Bot...

The 49th cruise of the R/V Akademik Sergey Vavilov (August 29-September 7, 2019) allowed to obtain new data on the Baltic Sea geological history and the current state of its ecosystem under eutrophication conditions. The size and shape of the Gotland contourite drift, as well as the Major Baltic inflow pathway in the Baltic Proper were specified. T...

We present a multibeam bathymetry dataset of Discovery Gap; a narrow gap in ridge of the Azores-Gibraltar Fracture Zone (eastern North Atlantic). The gap serves as gateway for the exchange of deep water between the Madeira and Iberian abyssal plains. A bathymetric survey was carried out during the 43 rd cruise of the research vessel (R/V) Akademik...

We present the bathymetric dataset of a single beam sounding. Surveys were conducted in 25 expeditions of the Atlantic branch of Shirshov Institute of Oceanology RAS in the Russian EEZ area of the southeastern part of the Baltic Sea in the period from 2004 to 2018. Acoustic data were acquired by echo sounders Simrad EA-400SP and Furuno FS-700. The...
