ABSTRACT The current status of the 4th industrial revolution has offered some sophisticated technological tools for higher education institutions. One of these technologies is distance learning based on Internet of Things tools and cloud computing, that make the student the main pillar of learning, through engaging in Flipped Learning Model (FLM)....
This research paper presents the results of a pilot study as part of a PhD study in technology management which explores the adoption of Internet protocol (IPv6) in a higher education institution (HEIs). This paper presents an application of the extended unified theory of acceptance and use technology (UTAUT-2) model. The model was adapted with a n...
This paper reviews the most recent literature on UTAUT/ UTAUT 2 (Unified Theory of Acceptance, and Use of Technology) by focusing on the findings and recommended future research. To meet this aim, the authors conduct an in-depth analysis of the current literature by using the systematic review method. This research paper is conceptual in origin, an...
Abstract Higher education institutions and their engineering departments have a vital role in fulfilling the new requirements and opportunities of the information and communication technologies (ICT). Therefore, understanding the guidelines to adapt to the new ICT innovations in relation with the Fourth Industrial Revolution such as the internet of...
This paper reviews the most recent literature on studying the factors that affect the adoption of emerging technology in higher education by focusing on the findings and recommended future research. To meet this aim, the authors conduct an in-depth analysis of the current literature by using the systematic review method. This research paper was sup...
Abstract A systematic review of the literature was performed to understand the IPV6 migration readiness and resistance in organization and to provide an overview of the current state of research in this topic. In total, 30 papers from 5 prominent databases met our inclusion criteria; 16 were on factors affecting the migration adoption from IPV4 to...
This paper describes the first stage of an internal grant provided by the Sultan Qaboos University to conduct a research project exploring the actual readiness of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to adopt a national migration plan to IPv6. Document analysis was used to derive necessary data on steps taken by the Omani concerned authorities to p...
Abstract In Sultanate of Oman, higher education institutions have devoted significant human and fiscal investments in IT to support the priorities tied to teaching and learning. IS there any method or technique can be use to measure the degree of impact for each variables in the theoretical framework?
AS example : measure the degree of impact, for UTAUT-2 variables on behavioral intention to adopt a new technology
we need your guide to answer this question..
Is it possible to do the research on smart campus based on IOT and virtual reality in PHD level?
the details of the research in brief:
Smart campus is an inevitable trend in the development of digital campus construction. With the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology, these technologies become the key to the construction of smart campus.
The major objective of this phd research proposal put forward a smart campus system prototype based on Internet technology. The research proposal firstly introduces the definition and characteristics of the IoT and VR technology. Secondly, presents the architecture and implementation methodology of the system prototype, and analyzes the core idea of smart campus. Finally, discuss the problems should be noticed in the smart campus construction.
The overall objective of this study is to create a smart campus system model for efficient management, using IoT and VR technology. The system prototype should adhere to the following principles.
Principle of high-efficiency responsiveness
Principle of reliability
Principle of standardization
Principle of the compatible scalability
Principle of friendly interface
Also the researcher will take one university as a case study for this phd journey.
Dear All Prof and DR
I start to introduce myself my name is Mr.Issa a PHD student (first year) I am lecturer in college. My specialization (IT in General), I have interest of study in integration of cloud computing and IOT, that is current trends in ICT.
The literature still lacks of a broad comprehensive overview on what has been investigated on the integration of IoT and Cloud Computing and what are the open issues to be addressed in future research and development.
The goal of creat this thesis is to fill this gap by systematically collecting and analyzing studies available in the literature aiming to:
1. obtain a comprehensive understanding on the integration of IoT and Cloud Computing paradigms
2. provide an overview of the current state of research on this topic
3.identify important gaps in the existing approaches as well as promising research directions. To achieve this goal, a systematic mapping study was performed covering papers recently published in journals, conferences, and workshops, available at five relevant electronic databases. (IEEEXplore, ACM, ScienceDirect.com, scopus, web of science).
Moreover, the researcher will selected presenting strategies and solutions on how to integrate IoT and Cloud Computing as well as scenarios, research challenges, and opportunities in this context.
in the finally of the thesis the researher will came with his own result of integrated cloud computing with IOT and compare with the main outcomes of the performed systematic mapping.
I hope the explanation is clearly to all of you.
I need help to get answer from your experience about systematic mapping study, Is it acceptable for PHD level?
if the answer Yes that's great, if No why?
I need your help and support?
Thanks for everyone....
